About Paul

Paul is the Founder and Strategic Advisor at TrendMD, a scholarly content discovery platform. TrendMD’s mission is to advance humanity’s collective knowledge by connecting readers and producers of scholarly content. With a background as an MD and PhD, Paul brings medical and research experience to his advisory role.

As Strategic Advisor, Paul works with the leadership team on strategies that make the platform more effective at scholarly content discovery. Drawing on experience with diverse global clients and multinational enterprises, he advises on partnerships, market expansion, and technology direction.

Paul is also a General Partner at North South Ventures (NSV), a seed-stage venture capital fund that invests in health-related companies with the potential to improve individuals’ lives and healthcare systems. He serves as a Clinician-Teacher at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Canada, and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine.
